Thermophiles - Microorganisms that thrive in heat. Orange / Red thermophiles use iron in the 122 - 140° F. range and are coated with rust called "Chemotrophs."
Thermophilic algae, including Cyanidium, inhabit the green channel. Like plants, these tiny single-celled organisms photosynthesize - use sunlight for energy. These "phototrophs" live in a temperature range from 100 - 133° F.
This may look like "modern art", but it is life, basic algae at different temperature ranges creating interesting patterns and colors.
